In Montana, adult and juvenile probation and parole officers in the top 25th percentile earned an average of $45,650 per year, which was about $21.95 per hour. Those who were in the top 10th percentile averaged about 6.5% more at $48,870 per year, which was an average hourly rate of $23.49.
In Montana, the Montana Department of Corrections, Adult Community Corrections is responsible for monitoring and supervising probation and parole services. Juveniles on parole are supervised by the Montana Department of Corrections, Youth Community Corrections Bureau. Juvenile probation services are handled locally by the youth courts.
